This knit top is characterized by its striped pattern that fits comfortably to the body. The pattern is created using three colors of yarn through a technique called plating, where two different yarns are fed into the same needle and the surface yarn is precisely adjusted while knitting. The pattern is designed with a universal graphic combining ISSEY MIYAKE's "I" and "M." When worn, the top conforms to the body, and the colorful interior patterning peeks through.

Made in Japan.

Issey Miyake

Legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake debuted his eponymous womenswear label in 1971, charting a half century of work in fashion design. An industry pioneer, Miyake’s clothing blends traditional Japanese techniques with forward-thinking technology. The brand is famous for their pleating technique which led to the debut of Pleats Please in 1993. Much of Miyake’s work is informed by an architectural approach to design, seen in sculptural silhouettes and clothing with purpose. Vibrant colors, advanced pattern making, and a devotion to curiosity are hallmarks of this fashion house now led by Satoshi Kondo.
