Mulxiply

Pronounced "multiply", the brand was born out of the recognition that fashion can be fair, art can be healing, and design can change the world. The brand empowers artisans by providing fair opportunities that address poverty through ethical fashion and meaningful design.

MULXIPLY was founded in 2010 by Tanja Cesh, who combined nearly 20 years of fashion and design experience with humanitarian work in developing countries. Her travels across India, Nepal, and Southeast Asia exposed her to the pervasive issues of human trafficking and marginalization affecting vulnerable populations. While immersed in these rural communities, Tanja witnessed women sewing and felting to support their families, inspiring her to create MULXIPLY as a sustainable solution that has evolved into metal work and the jewelry she offers today. While their designs are modern, their approach is based on capturing the ancient through utilizing artists and the understanding of their craft. In doing so, they aim to create a collection that elevates a unique process guided by a skilled artisan.
