This top is characterized by its pattern created using original monochrome photographs. Designed by conceptualizing a single quadrilateral piece of cloth, it is made from polyester crêpe de Chine, which has a soft texture and beautiful flowy feel. The original pattern was applied through inkjet printing. Inspired by printed photographs on paper, the pattern deliberately incorporates white space.

Due to the manufacturing process, the print of this product varies from item to item.

Issey Miyake

Legendary Japanese designer Issey Miyake debuted his eponymous womenswear label in 1971, charting a half century of work in fashion design. An industry pioneer, Miyake’s clothing blends traditional Japanese techniques with forward-thinking technology. The brand is famous for their pleating technique which led to the debut of Pleats Please in 1993. Much of Miyake’s work is informed by an architectural approach to design, seen in sculptural silhouettes and clothing with purpose. Vibrant colors, advanced pattern making, and a devotion to curiosity are hallmarks of this fashion house now led by Satoshi Kondo.
