Sibling duo Nicholas and Christopher Kuntz spent their formative years in the Arizona wilderness, developing an affinity for nature and exploration. Nicholas is a well-experienced designer, having studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the Polimoda School of Design, along with several stints at various American fashion houses where she developed a progressive and utilitarian taste. Christopher is a fabricator and product designer with an early history of laboratory biotechnics. The two reconnected in 2003 to create a brand tailored for the urban nomad with an appreciation for a sustainable lifestyle.
